This Private area Driveway was installed by StoneSet on 18/3/19.
The before photos on this project show multiple colour stone infilled in the lead up to the strip drain at the garage and at the crossover. This preparation work was done to build up the base of both of these sections.
The strip drain had been cut-in retrospectively to this older concrete driveway. Looking to control any runoff from entering the carport, the slab had to be cut, which meant a section of the concrete leading up to the drain needed to be removed.
The Crossover section – the base had been somewhat uneven to begin with, and to achieve an even finish, these photos show the application of different colours of ‘base mix’ stone that is used to build up the levels of the existing surface, before StoneSet is installed over the top.
StoneSet were able to retain the original borders of the driveway, grinding out the side sections and putting in edging, before installing the darker charcoal colour stone to the main section of the driveway.
StoneSet used a bound with StoneSets’ premium polyurethane resin. This mix has been used for more than 10 years across all states, by Australia’s longest running porous paving company.[sgdg path=”Job Photo Uploads/3550″]
