|Location||Longueville, New South Wales|
|Stone Colour||Pitch Black|
This property is located off a laneway on Arabella St in Longueville, NSW.
The minimalist style modern facade was designed with almost no windows at the front. As the property overlooked the inner harbour foreshore at the rear, a clever design strategy was to put all the investment in large sliding doors and windows where the looked out on a view, rather than the road.
Another clever design strategy of the house was simple block-colour panelling on the facade.
Rather than a traditional facade that would display more detail, often by way of ornate or decorative balustrading or other ornate windows or doors, the highly contrasting block style was given earthy tones of brown and black, to channel the Australian native plants that featured in the front yard.[sgdg path=”Job Photo Uploads/4208″]
