Why 1K DIY Resin

StoneSet developed 1K DIY Resin as a simplified, single-part version of our professional 2-part Premium UVR system designed to make true resin-bound paving more accessible for homeowners and trades with little to no prior experience.

Pre-catalysed and ready to use, 1K DIY Resin requires no separate hardener or second component. It is simply mixed with stone and laid, making it ideal for smaller projects where ease of use, consistency, and reliability are key without compromising on finish quality or long-term performance.

Unlike surface-applied binders, 1K DIY Resin fully coats and locks each stone together to form a solid, fully permeable, resin-bound surface. Once cured, it sets rock-hard and delivers the same stone retention and visual finish expected from a premium resin-bound system.

As a single-part polyurethane, 1K DIY Resin cures into a slightly more rigid matrix than our 2-part Premium UVR. This makes it best suited to light-load applications, such as pedestrian areas and decorative hardscapes, where flexibility and heavy force absorption are not required.

Importantly, 1K DIY Resin is UV-rated, weather-resistant, and offers an excellent design life when installed correctly making it a reliable, long-term solution for small-scale resin-bound projects.

When to use 1K DIY Resin

1K DIY Resin is ideal for small residential and light-use projects where a true resin-bound finish is desired, but the complexity of a 2-part system is unnecessary.
