Why VertiStone binder?
StoneSet VertiStone is a cutting-edge, single-pack polyurethane resin system engineered specifically for vertical and overhead pebble applications. Designed for walls, pool copings, step risers, façades, and other upright surfaces, VertiStone delivers a permanent, decorative, and UV-stable finish that withstands Australia’s harshest conditions.
It brings together UV stability, high viscosity, strong adhesion, and elastomeric flexibility, giving architects, installers, and designers a reliable solution for long-lasting vertical stone finishes.
Technical overview
UV-Resistant polyurethane technology. VertiStone uses a fully aliphatic, UV-stable polyurethane binder, ensuring the surface won’t yellow, chalk, or degrade, even under long-term exposure to Australian sunlight. Pebble colour and clarity remain consistent for years.
Single-pack, high-viscosity resin. The ready-to-use single-pack formulation requires no mixing of multiple components. Its high-solid, high-viscosity resin is engineered to lock pebbles instantly onto vertical or overhead surfaces, preventing slumping during installation.
Dual-function system: primer + binder. VertiStone is designed to act as both:
- Primer: Applied directly to concrete, tiles, plasterboard, timber, or other surfaces for maximum adhesion.
- Binder: Mixed with clean, dry, graded pebbles to form a thick, trowelable blend applied in one seamless pass.
Robust performance:
- Permanent Bond: Once cured, VertiStone forms a durable, weatherproof surface resistant to impact, water, and mechanical stress.
- Elastomeric & Hydrophobic: Remains flexible to handle minor substrate movement, and is hydrophobic, ideal for wet areas like pools, bathrooms, and external façades.
- Temperature Resistant: Serviceable up to 80°C, with shock resistance up to 200°C, making it suitable for demanding environments.

How VertiStone works
- Surface Preparation. Clean and dry the surface, then apply VertiStone as a primer for optimal adhesion.
- Mixing. Combine VertiStone binder with clean, dry, graded pebbles (3mm, 4mm or 6mm).
- Application. Trowel the mixture onto the primed vertical surface. The resin’s high viscosity ensures zero slumping during curing.
- Curing. Once cured, the finish is UV-stable, weatherproof, permanent, and visually seamless.
